POP
The Process Optimisation Platform: Arridex's SharePoint-based hub for automated business processes, compliance tracking, and institutional knowledge.
What POP is
POP is built on Microsoft SharePoint 365 and serves as the company's central digital workspace for business processes, procedures, brand guidelines, templates, job descriptions, and software guides. It is managed by two developers working alongside a Process Improvement unit.
Solutions built on POP are referred to as automated business processes or process solutions. They are never called apps or mini-apps. Keep this consistent in any documentation or conversation about POP.
How POP is organised
The POP homepage is organised by division code, each division running its own library of automated forms and trackers:
| Code | Division |
|---|---|
| QHSE | Quality, Health, Safety and Environment |
| PPC | People & Culture |
| CUE | Customer Experience |
| LAC | Legal & Compliance |
| DSD | Digital Solutions (to be renamed soon) |
| FIN | Finance |
| FAC | Facilities |
| MKD | Marketing |
| SER | Services |
| AID | Asset Integrity |
| BSP | Business Strategy & Performance |
| COM | Commercials |
QHSE is the most heavily automated business unit on the platform today, with processes including Facility Inspection, Hazard Identification, Permit to Work, Audit Management, Incident Reporting, Non-Conformance tracking, and several certificate and calibration trackers. This gives a useful sense of the depth of automation possible on POP, and the QHSE library is a good first place to review when getting familiar with the platform.
POP also hosts Brand Resources, Cross-functional Task routing, AI Adoption Resources, and a Self Service section, alongside a separate gamified employee engagement layer called KreedLand (covering rankings, quests, learning, and a virtual marketplace). KreedLand is a distinct function from process automation and sits on the same platform rather than being part of it functionally.
POP versus EDGE, restated
As covered on the EDGE ERP page: EDGE handles transactions with financial or resource consequences, POP handles process routing, document control, and compliance tracking. If you are ever unsure which platform a new automation request belongs on, this is the test to apply.
Your role here
POP is an active, functioning platform run by its own team. Your oversight in the near term is deliberately light-touch: understanding what exists, meeting the team running it, and establishing a clear intake mechanism for future automation requests, rather than driving a roadmap of new work. See POP 90-day priorities.
