Section 04

Velidon

Arridex's asset integrity management system, and the product where you will spend the largest share of your time.

What Velidon is

Velidon is described as an asset integrity management system. It digitises the inspection campaign workflow covered on the Asset Integrity Domain page: asset registration, field data capture, anomaly management, reporting, and multi-stage approval, replacing the paper-and-spreadsheet process that still dominates much of the industry.

Velidon currently runs in a contractor-controlled model: Arridex uses Velidon internally to deliver inspection services to its own clients. It is not yet sold as a self-service SaaS product that operators license and run themselves. Building that SaaS version is one of the central pieces of your remit, and it is urgent.

Live features

Confirmed live, as of this primer
  • Asset register
  • 40+ NDT technique templates (UTM, PAUT, MPI, LPT, PMI, Hardness, and many more, see NDT and anomalies for the most common)
  • Offline-first field capture
  • Desktop client, available on Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Multi-stage review and approval workflow
  • Anomaly management, with damage-class auto-population. This covers capture and classification only, verification and closeout of an anomaly remains an operator-side function, not currently built into Velidon.
  • Audit trail
  • Multi-tenant client isolation, with role-scoped access

Upcoming features

On the roadmap
  • IOC mandate / multi-tenant admin model, needed to serve large international operators with their own administrative requirements
  • Data residency support and ISO 27001 alignment, see Compliance Roadmap
  • Nigerian regulatory compliance features
  • IIoT condition monitoring integration, connecting live sensor data rather than relying solely on periodic manual inspection
  • In-platform support and ticketing
  • Analytics and smart insights, explicitly non-deterministic, and always shipped with a disclaimer to that effect
  • TML trending, tracking thickness measurement locations over repeated inspections to reveal corrosion rates, see From data to insight

Two versions, one product

Velidon today exists as one contractor-controlled deployment that Arridex operates to deliver its own inspection services. The work ahead of you is not simply adding features to that version, it is architecting a second, genuinely separate SaaS version that operators can license and run themselves, while deciding how the two relate: what they are named, what domains they live on, and how much of the codebase and design system they share.

This decision, along with the domain and naming architecture, security hardening of the existing version, and requirements gathering for the SaaS version, is covered in detail on the Velidon 90-day priorities page.

Why this matters to IOCs

International oil companies apply strict vendor vetting before adopting third-party software, particularly around data handling, access control, and security posture. Velidon's existing multi-tenant isolation, role-scoped access, and audit trail are real assets in that conversation, but they need to be documented and packaged in a way an IOC IT security team can actually review. That packaging work, alongside the SOC2 readiness assessment, is one of the more commercially consequential pieces of near-term work on this product.
